Singer Katie Melua is blooming with pride after being presented with her very own Dutch tulip.
The pretty jazz star is a huge hit in Holland, where her album Piece by Piece has gone triple platinum.
Her rose, the special pink Tulipa Crispa Roze, took 15 years to cultivate and it will now take on the name of the best-selling artist.
After being presented with the newly-named Tulipa Katie Melua, she said: "It is quite unexpected but really flattering."
Top cultivator Jan Huiberts said: "Katie Melua is a beautiful woman with a wonderful character and an exceptional voice.
"The people of the Netherlands love her and it was a very natural choice to honour her by naming this tulip after her."
Other stars who have had tulips named after them include Pink Floyd and painter Rembrandt.
