Nelly Furtado's hit song Maneater has managed to hold on to the number one spot for the third week running.
The Canadian popstar beat off competition from Shakira's Hips Don't Lie and pushed rising star Sandi Thom's I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker down to third place.
Having burst on to the music scene with the 2001 hit I'm Like A Bird, Furtado has gained worldwide recognition for her music.
Her latest Timbaland-produced hit signals a distinct move away from the style of her first two albums and is likely to boost the Canadian beauty's success even further.
Furtado has not managed to conquer the album chart as well however, as her album Loose slipped from fifth to ninth place. British band Keane currently reign supreme, with their second album Under the Iron Sea holding on to the top spot for the second week running.
Other British artists dominating the music scene include English rock stars Muse and Welsh band Automatic, whose singles are currently at fourth and fifth place respectively.
