Despite numerous rumours which would suggest otherwise, Madonna's marriage to Guy Ritchie is "back on track".
So says the star's father-in-law as he waxed lyrical to American magazine In Touch Weekly about the couple's relationship.
He admitted that the pair had been through a rough patch but now their marriage is stronger than ever.
Denying claims that Madonna's massively successful career was putting too great a strain on the couple, John Ritchie said: "Their marriage is back on track. I know that Madonna is away a lot and leaving Guy alone, but it just isn't a problem.
"He knows that will happen and he is not worried. He doesn't mind her working."
And keeping his fingers crossed for an addition to the Ritchie family, he added: "I love my grandchildren and nothing would make me happier than if they adopt. How lovely to have another one.
"I'm sure Rocco and Lourdes would love it as they are so close and another sibling would be super."
No doubt John Ritchie is hoping his comments about the couple will go some way to appeasing them after he was quoted in the press earlier this year saying that the pair's marriage was on the rocks.
