X Factor winner Leona Lewis remains number one in the first ever chart to include download-only releases.

The Official Charts Company (OCC) announced last month that from January 1st this year, sales of all songs bought over the internet that are not released in a physical format would count towards Britain's official singles chart.

Previously only singles which were available on CD or vinyl were eligible for inclusion in the chart. Declining interest forced the move from the OCC, which now offers a chart it hopes is more representative of buyers' interests.

Lewis stays top for a third consecutive week with her cover of Kelly Clarkson's A Moment Like This, while Eric Prydz vs Floyd's Proper Education enters at number two.

Slipping one place to number three is Take That's comeback single, Patience, while U2's Window In The Skies enters at number four. Akon's Smack That is number five.

In the album chart, Gary Barlow and his old friends remain at the top with Beautiful World. Amy Winehouse shoots up to number two from last week's 16 with Back To Black, while Snow Patrol's Eyes Open stays on the chart for its 36th week at number three.
