Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has hinted the band could begin working on new material following their one-off reunion show.

The band are reforming for a tribute concert for the late, great Atlantic Records executive Ahmet Ertegun - at London's O2 Arena on November 26th – and although frontman Robert Plant had implied that this was the last time Led Zeppelin would take to the stage, Page and bassist John Paul Jones have dropped vague hints regarding future plans.

In separate interviews with JAM! Music, Page and Jones seemed to suggest that new material or even a tour could follow the charity comeback gig - which sees the three surviving members of the legendary band performing with Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin's late drummer John.

"(The concert) is what we're working toward ... That's what we have on our horizon at this point. I know you want to hear other answers, but I'm afraid that's all I can give you," Page said, when quizzed about the possibility of a tour.

But Jones didn't rule out the prospect of the band reforming for a full-blown - and presumably very lucrative - tour.

"Basically, we are concentrating on this show," the 61-year-old said. "That's where all the energy is going. I mean, who knows, but one step at a time."

New material - which would be the first release from the band's since 1979's In Through the Out Door - could be a possibility as well, if Page's reluctant answers are anything to go by.

"Look, I'd be really surprised if there wasn't - you know, I mean I just know the way we are," he said. "We're musicians ... as we're playing we'll probably be coming up with all manner of things. And that will be fun. I mean, that's what it's all about."

He added: "Let's do the O2 show, shall we? And then we'll speak to you afterward."

Around 20 million people tried to register for £125 tickets to the reunion show, which also features Pete Townshend, Foreigner, Bill Wyman and Paolo Nutini.
