American band Kings of Leon have gone straight in at number one on the UK singles charts with their latest release Sex On Fire.
The rockers have had critical success through their albums but today's chart-topping effort marks their first-ever number one single.
I Kissed A Girl by Katy Perry was knocked off the top spot, falling one place to number two - while Sir Cliff Richard's most recent release, entitled Thank You For A Lifetime, debuted at number three.
If Sir Cliff had reached the top of the charts it would have meant the 67-year-old would extend his own record of having number one hits in six consecutive decades.
When I Grow Up by the Pussycat Dolls was in fourth place, with Disturbia by Rihanna falling to fifth.
