Keane are to release their latest single in a memory stick in order to respond to the growing number of fans who use computers to download and listen to music.
Nothing In My Way, the third single from their second album, Under The Iron Sea, is released in stores and download sites on Monday October 30th.
Only 1,500 memory sticks will be produced and the single will also be available on CD, vinyl and digital formats.
The memory stick content will include an audio version of the single, its video, screensavers and a link to a page on the website to view an alternative version of the song.
Jon Turner, general manager of Keane's label Island Records, said: "We wanted to offer the fans something unique, and this format gives the user a whole host of benefits, ranging from the obvious in terms of content delivery, to the fact that it can be re-used as a content holder. It's the ultimate in added value."
The single's release comes days after Keane frontman Tom Chaplin returned from a stint in The Priory clinic to tackle his drugs addiction.
On Tuesday, Chaplin took to the stage with the band for the first time since his recovery.
Speaking to BBC Radio 1, Chaplin said that he had been able to confront his problems.
"You walk to the edge of the cliff and look into the abyss, and either kind of jump off or turn around," he said. "Thankfully, it was the latter."
