Singer-songwriter Kate Nash has shot straight to the top of the album chart with her debut record this week.

The 20-year-old pop sensation's Made of Bricks rode on the success of current single Foundations to outsell Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts' One Chance to the number one spot in the last seven days.

Newton Faulkner's Hand Built by Robots was at number three while Amy MacDonaldcame in at four with This is the Life.

In the singles chart, Robyn surged up from number five last week to knock US rapper and producer Timbaland's The Way I Are off the top.

Her With Every Heartbeat record also came in above Kanye West's Stronger, while Nash's Foundations was down two places to this week's number four.

Sticking around for yet another week in the top echelons of the chart was Fergie's Big Girls Don't Cry, which came in at number five this time round.
