Kaiser Chiefs lead singer Ricky Wilson is 'lucky to be alive' after being involved in a car accident in his hometown of Leeds on Sunday evening.
The 28-year-old was crossing a road on a green pedestrian light when he was hit by an oncoming vehicle, with Ricky escaping with minor injuries and a broken toe, according to the band's official website.
It was thanks to one of his trademark on-stage leaps that Ricky was able to jump before the car hit him, the site claims, resulting in the singer being "flipped over the top of the car, hitting the windscreen, rather than getting trapped under it."
Despite his injuries, the Chiefs frontman is expected to be ok to perform as planned with the rest of his group at tour dates in Holland and Germany next month.
The triple Brit award-winning Kaiser Chiefs came from relative anonymity to take the UK charts by storm last year, their debut album Employment selling more than 1.5 million copies to date.
