Rap star Megaman of pop group So Solid Crew has been cleared of murder charges by a jury at the Old Bailey.
Megaman, whose real name is Daniel Vincent, had served one year in jail after two earlier trials for the murder of Colin Scarlett in Tooting, south-east London, in November 2004.
It had been alleged that he had encouraged fellow rap artist Carl Morgan to carry out the shooting, but insufficient evidence was found to convict him on that charge.
Despite being cleared of what prosecutors said was a revenge attack, Mr Vincent said he felt "like a broken man" and attacked Britain's criminal justice system which, he said, was "designed to keep people behind bars whether they are innocent or guilty".
"I was an innocent man from the beginning - nothing has changed and nothing will ever change," Mr Vincent added.
The So Solid Crew member, 27, from Barons Court, west London, rose to fame in 2001 with the band's number one hit 21 Seconds.
