Jay-Z has posted a song about Blue Ivy Carter, his first child with wife Beyonce.
The couple announced the birth of their baby girl earlier this week (January 9th), after she was born at a hospital in New York.
Glory, which appeared first on Jay-Z's social network site Life and Times, features the artist rapping about the couple's new addition to the family, along with a statement expressing their gratitude for all the well wishing messages they have received.
In the track, he reveals that Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before the birth of Blue Ivy Carter.
The lyrics read: "Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you'd disappear/But nah baby you magic."
A number of celebrities took to Twitter to congratulate the couple, including Beyonce's sister Solange, Rhianna, Gwyneth Paltrow and hip hop mogul Russell Simmons.
The Crazy in Love-singer revealed her pregnancy at the MTV Music Video award in August last year after months of speculation.
