Singer Janet Jackson has revealed she blames Dr Conrad Murray for the death of her brother Michael.
In an interview with US network ABC - her first since the Thriller star's death in June - Jackson said she believes Dr Murray should no longer be permitted to practice medicine.
"He was the one that was administering," she remarked. "I think he is responsible."
Dr Murray, 51, has been at the centre of allegations made into the cause of death of the self-styled King of Pop since June.
He was at Jackson's side when he died, and after a Los Angeles coroner's report ruled the singer's death was caused by the administering of a powerful anaesthetic, Dr Murray has been considered an official suspect in the police investigation into the matter.
Though Dr Murray told officers he had given Jackson a dose of the sedative Propofol, his spokesman has insisted the physician neither prescribed nor administered anything to the Billie Jean singer that killed him.
In a YouTube message posted in August, Dr Murray stressed: "I told the truth and I have faith the truth will prevail."
Speaking to ABC's Robin Roberts, Janet Jackson admitted the Jackson family were not naive about Michael's reliance on prescription medication and insisted she had attempted to help her brother.
"I did," she said. "Of course, that's what you do. Those are the things that you do when you love someone. You can't just let them continue on that way. And we did a few times. We weren't very successful."
