An all-star cover of the REM ballad Everybody Hurts to raise money for victims of the earthquake in Haiti will be released on February 7th, it has been confirmed.
X Factor judge Simon Cowell and the Sun newspaper have organised the charity track, which includes artists such as Robbie Williams, Michael Buble and Jon Bon Jovi.
It is thought some 200,000 people were killed by the quake with struck on January 12th, while more than 1.5 million have been left homeless on the island.
A US telethon organised by George Clooney raised more than £35 million for the aid effort and the Everybody Hurts cover aims to raise increased funds for victims of the disaster.
A cover version of REM's 1993 hit will be released on February 7th for download, with its CD version available the following day.
JLS singer Oritse Williams, who lost relatives in the earthquake, told the BBC the aid effort was "very close to my heart".
"It's great to be working with such talented artists all pulling together to make a difference through song," he added.
Rod Stewart, who also sings on the charity single, said he could not think of a "more fitting song than Everybody Hurts to convey the unimaginable tragedy that is Haiti".
Other artists on the song, which was recorded through individual vocal contributions in London and Los Angeles, include Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Take That, Kylie Minogue, James Blunt and X Factor winners Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry.
Half of the funds raised will go to the Disaster Emergency Committee with the other proceeds donated to the Sun's Helping Haiti fund.
