Noel Gallagher's newborn baby boy is already having the innate Oasis swagger pressed upon him, according to a newspaper report.
Donovan Rory MacDonald Gallagher, born weighing 7lbs 5oz on Saturday, is the first child for Gallagher with girlfriend Sara MacDonald.
The Sun quotes a text sent by Noel to friends and family as saying "he will be a legend… give thanks and praise".
The somewhat ambitious tag is already evidence that the Gallagher brand of laid-back self-confidence is being passed on to another generation and shrewd betters are already seeking odds on the lad proving himself a hit-making machine like his dad.
With a name like Donovan that seems assured, but it could all have gone horribly wrong if Noel's initial naming instincts had their way.
A family friend told the Sun: "During the pregnancy Noel was calling the bump Little Sven. He said he wanted to name the lad after the [Manchester] City boss. Luckily he's ended up as Donovan."
Noel's first child, whose mother is ex-wife Meg Matthews, is called Anais.
