Tom Williams sees a sizeable crowd head to south London for free desserts and music at Sundae on the Common.
An unexpectedly hot day saw the 'cheap day out in central London' crowd turn out to eat free Ben and Jerry's ice cream and await the headlining performance of Super Furry Animals on Clapham Common.
Held annually in the south London park, Sundae on the Common this year features a host of established and up-and-coming acts, as well as bountiful amounts of free ice cream, fairground attractions and social mission activites concerning Ben and Jerry's commitment to Fairtrade production.
Saturday's lineup includes Telegraphs, Tommy Reilly, Marina and the Diamonds, King Creosote and I am Kloot, with Scottish veterans Teenage Fanclub and Welsh indie greats Super Furry Animals headlining.
