The Killers singer Brandon Flowers has confided that his band will probably never play Glastonbury again.

Following on from their headline set on the Pyramid stage on Saturday, Flowers clearly believes his band cannot top that experience.

"This will probably be the last time we play here [Glastonbury]," Flowers told the NME.

"You only get one real shot at it and this is ours. If we ever come back, we'll be the Who's age."

The Las Vegas band refused a headline slot at the last Glastonbury because Flowers and the rest of the group felt it was too early for them.

Since then the band have released their second album Sam's Town and have achieved huge commercial success.

The band's set at the festival went down well with the crowd, although sound problems from the Pyramid stage led some people to call for it to be turned up.

Flowers and co played a number of their hit singles including When You Were Young, Smile Like You Mean It and All These Things That I've Done.

The Killers have now played three consecutive Glastonbury festivals after playing in the New Tent in 2004 and second on the Pyramid stage in 2005.

A cover of the Joy Division song Shadowplay was included in the band's set this year.
