A number of new acts have been added to the Carling Weekend: Reading and Leeds festivals including Brakes and Devendra Banhart.

Brakes will play the Radio 1/NME Stage on August 25th in Reading and the following day in Leeds. New York folk singer Banhart will appear on the 24th in Leeds and the 26th in Reading.

Also added to the bill for the main stage are Paramore, who will play the main stage in Reading on the 25th and Leeds on the 26th and Billy Talent, playing Leeds on the 24th and Reading on the 26th.

The other latest additions are the Sounds, the Scare, Aiden, Dogs, Pull Tiger Tail, Make Model and Maps.

The Lock-Up stage has been finalised, with both sites being treated to sets from Jimmy Eat World, New Found Glory, Turbonegro and Gallows.

Also completed is the line-up for the Dance stage which will feature Unkle, Digitalism, Lethal Bizzle, Does It Offend You Yeah and the Teenagers.

The Carling Weekend boasts another typically strong line-up with sets from Razorlight, Kings of Leon, Interpol, Gossip, Ash, Albert Hammond Jr and Patrick Wolf.

Californian rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, along with Arcade Fire and Bloc Party, will also play at the event as well as Smashing Pumpkins, Fall Out Boy and Klaxons.
