Sir Elton John has reportedly cancelled plans for a duet and tour with Lily Allen after they clashed while hosting the GQ awards.
The singing pair presented the men's magazine annual awards and appeared to banter good-naturedly about Allen's drinking.
However, speaking to Metro, Sir Elton seems to have suggested that he no longer wishes to collaborate with the Smile star.
"I was thinking about asking her to tour with me and maybe even do a duet. Obviously that won't be happening," he told the newspaper.
During the awards show, Allen had remarked: "Now we reach a very special point in the evening," to which Sir Elton replied: "What, you are going to have another drink?"
The young star retorted: "F*** off Elton, I'm 40 years younger than you, I have my whole life ahead of me."
"I could still snort you under the table," he replied.
Allen dismissed tabloid reports of the row on her MySpace page last week, writing: "Elton and I exchanged jokes and there were no hard feelings at all. In fact, neither of us gave [it] a second thought.
"I'm not defending my drunkenness because I don't need to, I'm 23, it was an awards ceremony, I drank the free champagne, how awful of me."
She added: "It's sad that an evening enjoyed by all had to be ruined by some bitter journos again. All these showbiz journalists are just bullies.
"I shouldn't have to defend myself when I've done nothing wrong... so you might as well f*** off and find somebody else to make miserable."
