Dance greats Basement Jaxx and Fatboy Slim will play to an intimate audience of 150 people at the Oxjam festival next month, it has been announced.
For one week in late September, an Oxfam shop - the location of which is yet to be announced - will become an Oxjam venue, selling second-hand music during the day, before hosting exclusive gigs in the evening.
Also on the line-up for this year's shows are rising star VV Brown, Starz in their Eyes songwriter Just Jack and gloom merchants Editors, who will close the event on Thursday October 1st.
"We've been supporting Oxfam for years now, so it's really exciting for us to be a part of their biggest music event," said Editors frontman Tom Smith.
"Putting on shows in Oxfam's high street stores is a great idea, these places are part of everyone's daily lives these days, come September they'll also be the hottest ticket in town."
The current lineup, with more acts to be announced, is:
Monday September 28th: VV Brown, Just Jack (acoustic)
Tuesday September 29th: Tony Allen plus special guests, Nitin Sawhney, Shlomo
Wednesday September 30th: Fatboy Slim, Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Stereo MCs (DJ set)
Thursday October 1st: Editors
Tickets for the Oxfam shop gigs will be available for £25 from 09:00 BST on Friday September 4th from www.wegottickets.com/oxjam
