Bad boy rocker Pete Doherty has been handed a two-month disqualification and a £300 fine for driving without insurance or a licence.
The Babyshambles singer, who has been in and out of courts for the past few years, admitted the charges after his arrest in November 2006.
He was fined £200 for driving without insurance, £100 for driving without a licence and was ordered to pay £55 costs.
He was seen driving his Jaguar in an erratic fashion in east London and pulled over. In passing sentence, District judge Jane McIvor told the 27-year-old that he could face a jail term if he is arrested on similar offences again.
Doherty's lawyer, Sean Curran, said his client had not followed up after asking one of his managers to purchase an insurance policy on his behalf.
Mr Curran also said Doherty had passed his driving test but was yet to apply for a licence.
Two other people arrested alongside the singer also appeared in court. One, Peter Wolfe, was fined £300 and ordered to pay £55 costs for possession of cocaine; the other, Michelle Breeze, was charged with two counts of possession of heroin and her case adjourned until March 6th.
