Chris Brown has released a video responding to negative press ahead of a preliminary hearing over allegations that he assaulted girlfriend Rihanna.
The Forever star is not expected to appear in court in Los Angeles today for a preliminary hearing in the case involving two charges of assault levelled against the 19-year-old.
Brown is accused of assaulting his girlfriend and fellow singer Rihanna on February 8th, the night of the Grammy awards but has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
Though the R 'n' B star is unlikely to appear in court, he has released a YouTube video discussing his upcoming releases and the media perception of him in the wake of the alleged attack.
"I just wanna say 'What up?' because I ain't been out there in a minute," Brown says in the clip.
"New album will be coming soon. We're working on it right now. Called Graffiti. Got everything on it, know what I'm saying? I'll be ready for that. I'm about to drop a single this summer for y'all. So we ain't going nowhere."
He adds: "Everybody that's haters, they just been haters. All my real fans, I love you all. I ain't a monster."
Legal representatives for the Run It star are seeking to have the assault case against the singer dismissed over apparent leaks of classified information.
Last month, the Los Angeles police department launched an internal investigation after a picture surfaced online of Rihanna with several facial injuries, purportedly after she was allegedly attacked on February 8th.
