Singer songwriter Elton John has revealed that his next project is going to be a hip-hop album crossover.
The 59-year-old told Rolling Stone that he wants to work with some of the genre's biggest luminaries such as Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg and Kanye West to achieve the best sound possible.
Elton is better known for pop ballads including Your Song, Don't Go Breaking my Heart and I'm Still Standing, and admits that his R&B ambitions might be a "disaster", but insists that "you don't know until you try".
"I want to bring my songs and melodies to hip-hop beats," he told the magazine, adding that he wants the new work to sound like No Diggity by Blackstreet.
Five years ago Elton sang alongside Eminem at the Grammy awards, performing on the rapper's single Stan.
