Britney's hair hits eBay

Monday, 19 Feb 2007 13:53
Britney's hair is attracting bids worth thousands of pounds on eBay
Hair claimed to be from the head of Britney Spears has gone on sale on the internet auction site eBay.

Proving the hysteria surrounding the former pop princess, the locks have received bids totalling thousands of pounds and are said to be from people who were able to go into Esther's Haircutting Studio and grab the hair from the floor.

Clippers said to have shaved her hair and website domain names with the words 'Britney' and 'bald' in them are also on offer.

The 25-year-old singer went into the Los Angeles salon and asked for all of her hair to be shorn off. When the workers there refused to do it, she then took the clippers and did the job herself.

After that a trip was then made to a tattoo parlour, where she reportedly had a small tattoo of lips created on her wrist.

Her hair-shaving antics are said by a number of media reports to be a cry for help, with sources close to the singer and health experts expressing alarm at her state of mind.

Britney split from her second husband Kevin Federline at the end of last year and since then reports have emerged of her late night partying and photographs of a knickerless Britney emerging from a car have been splashed all over the world.

Both Britney and Federline are said to be seeking custody of their two children.End of story
