After much speculation, it has been revealed Beyonce Knowles will perform on the Pyramid Stage at this year's Glastonbury music festival.
The star's label, Columbia Records, revealed the news despite organisers of the event being yet to announce the official line up.
In a statement, Knowles said: "This really is the biggest festival in the world and I cannot wait to perform there ... I'm pumped just thinking about that huge audience."
Tickets for the gathering sold out in approximately four hours in October in preparation for the Somerset festival on June 22nd to 26th.
Last year's headliners included Kylie Minogue, Stevie Wonder and Gorillaz, who replaced U2 after they pulled out.
Meanwhile, the Sun has reported that Pete Doherty and Carl Barat are in talks to reunite in time for Glastonbury after appearances at 2010's Leeds and Reading festivals.
According to the publication, a source stated that the pair will net plenty of cash if they decide to reunite for another performance, making a show "a good earner" if they do arrange a get-together for the date.
