An article claiming to be the first interview with Beyonce since giving birth last week has been called a "fake" by the singer's representative.
The piece, published in the UK's Star Magazine on Tuesday (February 17th), features a candid conversation with the singer, who claims that her husband, rapper Jay-Z, will be a "hands-on-dad".
Billed as a "world exclusive", the magazine's editor said that "it is not made up or fictitious at all," explaining that the interview was bought from a reporter in the US.
However, when asked whether the interview was legitimate, Beyonce's spokeswoman said "absolutely not".
Quotes attributed to the former Destiny's Child star appear to address the issue of heavy security at the hospital where she gave birth to Blue Ivy Carter on 14th January this year.
The claim it is faked comes on the day that a number of celebrity magazine editors appeared before the Leveson inquiry into press standards.
