Basshunter's Now You're Gone has beaten Britney Spears' latest release Piece of Me to the UK number one singles spot.
The club favourite owes much of its success to its popularity as a ringtone and did enough to outsell a strong Spears challenge. Her single rose 17 places from last week's number 19.
The X Factor bubble finally burst on this week's chart, with Leon Jackson's When You Believe down to number five and Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love falling to 12.
Soulja Boy Tellem was number three with Crank That and Nickelback climbed four places to this week's number four.
In the album chart, Radiohead's In Rainbows was replaced at the top by a comeback from Amy Macdonald's This Is The Life.
Leona Lewis' Spirit also fell to number ten in a quiet week for fresh releases. The only new entry of the entire top 40 came from Tom Baxter's Skybound, which charted at 12.
