Florence and the Machine's debut album Lungs has gone to the top of the UK album charts - 28 weeks after it went on release.
Lungs has been in the top 40 since it came out in July, when it spent five weeks at number two behind Michael Jackson albums.
The Official Charts Company said three other albums in the UK top ten were debut releases from last year with Lady Gaga's The Fame at number four - a year after going on release -, Turn it Up from Pixie Lott at number seven, and Mumford and Sons' Sigh No More at nine.
Delphic, recently named third in the BBC Sound of 2010 poll, are at eight with Acolyte meanwhile, while Vampire Weekend's sophomore effort Contra is at number three.
Commenting, Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company, said: "It shows how so much of the new talent which emerged last year is here for the long term and if Delphic's chart debut is anything to go by, 2010 promises to be equally exciting."
In the singles chart Iyaz's replay is at number one for a second week, while two versions of Journey's Don't Stop Believin' make the top ten, one from the band themselves at six and the new version from the Glee Cast at five.
