Rachel Weisz has staved off a late challenge from Kate Moss to hold on to her lucrative contract as the face of Burberry.
The English actress replaced the sacked supermodel last year after Burberry decided the infamous photos appearing to show Moss snorting cocaine were harmful to its appeal.
And the decision proved fruitful as Burberry sales soared upon advertising campaigns featuring Weisz, Oscar-winning star of The Constant Gardener, and Welsh model Ioan Gruffudd.
Weisz also went some way to helping the iconic Burberry label rid itself of the unwanted 'chav' association.
However, despite her success in the role, chiefs at the fashion group had reportedly been contemplating replacing her with Moss now that the model's career appears to be back on track.
But sources told the Daily Star that this now looks unlikely as the unanimous opinion was that Weisz should hold on to her contract.
"It's unlikely Burberry will force Weisz to make way now," an insider told the tabloid.
"It will be a blow to Kate, because she was desperate to get back with them. It was the jewel in her crown."
