Sandra Bullock has pulled out of the London premiere of her Oscar-winning film, The Blind Side, as rumours circulate in the US that her husband has been unfaithful.
The 45-year-old star had been due to appear on the red carpet in the capital to promote the film which secured her the best actress prize earlier this month.
However in a statement released on Wednesday Bullock confirmed she would not be attending, leading to the premiere being scrapped.
"Due to unforeseen personal reasons a trip abroad to support The Blind Side has been deemed impossible at this time," she said.
"I apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and thank you for your continued support of the film."
The decision comes as speculation continues across the Atlantic that her husband Jesse James, 40, cheated on her with model Michelle McGee.
McGee alleged the pair engaged on an 11-month affair and told an American magazine: "I asked him, 'What's going on with you and Sandra?' He said: 'She doesn't live here. She's filming. I can't talk about it'."
James and Bullock married in 2005 and following the actress' Oscar win, James praised his wife, declaring: "Nobody deserves this more and works harder. I'm so proud of her."
Earlier this week it was announced British actress Kate Winslet, who won the best actress Oscar last year, had split from her director husband Sam Mendes.
