Family comedy Night at the Museum 2 has held the UK box office top spot despite a successful debut for Sam Raimi horror Drag Me to Hell.
The Ben Stiller caper remained at number one for a second week while Drag Me to Hell opened in second in its first weekend on release with a creditable £1.91 million haul.
Angels and Demons, Ron Howard's adaptation of the Dan Brown bestseller, fell one place to third while Star Trek dropped to fourth, though with a total UK haul of over £18 million, JJ Abrams' reboot of the sci-fi franchise has already earned nearly twice as much as the previous highest gross in the series, 1996's Star Trek: First Contact, which took £9.76 million.
Elsewhere in the chart, action thriller 12 Rounds, featuring WWE wrestler John Cena, entered the chart at number seven while X-Men Origins: Wolverine fell four places to eighth.
Stalker drama Obsessed, starring Beyonce Knowles and The Wire's Idris Elba, debuted at number nine, having topped the charts in the US, while teen-pop idols the Jonas Brothers' 3D concert film entered the chart in tenth.
