Film star Nicole Kidman is to marry fiancé Keith Urban in the country of her youth, Australia, she has confirmed.
In a joint statement with her husband Kidman revealed her plans to return down under to tie the knot with Urban, a successful country and western singer whom she met in January 2005.
"We are very happy to be back in Australia. We have come home to celebrate our wedding with our family and friends," the couple said in a joint statement.
The couple are planning a whirlwind engagement, for Kidman only revealed her latest attempt at marital bliss to People magazine last month. Reports suggest she is considering marrying Urban close to the high school where she grew up in Sydney.
It is thought unlikely that Kidman's ex-husband, Tom Cruise, will be attending the wedding – unlike a plethora of stars including Baz Luhrmann and Russell Crowe, with whom Kidman is currently working on an Australian epic.
Aside from all the wedding presents the couple might struggle to find room on their mantelpiece, cluttered as it will doubtless be by Kidman's 2003 Oscar for The Hours and Urban's Grammy for best male country vocal performance, which he won last year.
