Reese Witherspoon is enjoying her newly single status and getting close to Jake Gyllenhaal, it has been reported.
The pair star together in the forthcoming film Rendition and it seems that filming the movie was not all work and no play.
After they have been spotted out and about together, People magazine claims that Reese and Jake are "taking it slow and getting to know one another".
Five months ago the petite blonde actress spilt from Ryan Phillippe, her husband of seven years, with who she has two children.
"In the last month, they've been spending a lot more time together," a source told the US magazine.
Jake is apparently unfazed by the fact that Reese is a mother to a seven-year-old daughter and three-year-old son, as the insider added that "[he] really likes her and isn't at all concerned that she has two kids".
When quizzed by the magazine, a spokesperson for Jake said that they had no comment to make on the issue.
But it may be a long time before the pair become an item, as a source close to Reese said; "[She] is still very, very hurt by Ryan and it will take a long time to get over that."
