Lindsay Lohan has admitted her "irresponsible" behaviour on the set of her new movie Georgia Rule.
The 20-year-old actress and singer received a public slap on the wrists from James G. Robinson, the film's director, in an usual disciplinary step that exposed her bad behaviour to the world.
Robinson's letter described her habit of turning up late - or not at all - as constituting "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" behaviour.
Now Lindsay, who recently spent a spell in rehab, has admitted she did go over the line.
"It upset me because I was a bit irresponsible. I didn't think about the consequences, but I was also going through something in my life," she told Allure magazine.
Lohan has experienced other troublesome problems recently. So far this year she has been forced to go underneath the knife to remove her appendix, endure a painful feud with celebrity heiress Paris Hilton and endure the unwanted attentions of a stalker on the set of Georgia Rule.
It's tough being a beautiful young actress.
