The son of late model Anna Nicole Smith died following an accidental drug overdose, a Bahaman jury has ruled.
A panel of seven jurors said Daniel Smith's death on September 10th 2006 was due to "non-dependent use of drugs".
The 20-year-old lost consciousness at his mother's bedside three days after she gave birth to his half-sister, Dannielynn, in a Nassau hospital.
There was initially no suggestion of murder, with a post-mortem showing a lethal cocktail of methadone and antidepressants had killed the actor.
Five months later his mother was found dead in a Florida hotel room at the age of 39, with a post-mortem again revealing an accidental overdose as the cause of death.
A four-month investigation was launched in the Bahamas into Daniel's death after Anna Nicole Smith's partner Howard K Stern was implicated.
Bahaman magistrate William Campbell said the jurors' decision in a coroner's court ended the case.
