Gavin and Stacey star James Corden has verified media rumours that he is to star in a new film based on Alexandre Dumas' The Three Musketeers.
Corden was linked with Paul WS Anderson's film - also starring Christoph Waltz, Orlando Bloom and Logan Lerman - earlier this week and he confirmed the reports at the National Movie awards on Wednesday.
"I'm playing Planchet, who's the three musketeers' servant," Corden told inthenews.co.uk.
"It's the part that Roy Kinnear played in the first film, so it's hopefully quite funny, I hope! But I'm very much looking forward to it, it'll be nice."
A Comic Relief film famously saw the Lesbian Vampire Killers star delivering a motivational speech to the England squad but Corden said he is not expecting a trip to South Africa, despite Gareth Barry's faltering fitness.
"I don't know that I'll get the call," he told inthenews.co.uk.
"I'd be surprised. I'm very much looking forward to the World Cup though. I think we're gonna win it."
Corden is to present a regular live World Cup show for ITV1 and told reporters he "couldn't be more terrified".
"On my life, I woke up last night about four in the morning, in a sweat, thinking 'I can't believe it's live'. It seems like such a terrible idea! But hopefully it's gonna be a lot of fun, I shouldn't say it's going to be bad! It's going to be great!"
