The British comedy Hot Fuzz premiered in London on Tuesday night, with the traditional red carpet being replaced by a blue one, in keeping with the film's police theme.
Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, who starred in the film, arrived in Leicester Square escorted by a fleet of police motorcycles, where they were joined by fellow cast members including Jim Broadbent, Steve Coogan, Martin Freeman and Bill Nighy.
With Pegg having recently worked on several Hollywood productions, including Mission: Impossible 3, Hot Fuzz is the first time he and Frost have worked together since their cult hit, Shaun of the Dead.
Commenting on their partnership, Frost said: "We've been friends for 15 years and we have a wonderful unspoken bond, I guess, and it transfers to the screen."
Hot Fuzz, which Frost described as a "two-hour romp", is set in a quiet village in rural Somerset, similar to where Pegg and director Edgar Wright grew up.
The film's central theme of a maverick London policeman being assigned to the village drew its inspiration from the action films Pegg enjoyed as a child.
