Actress Heather Locklear was reportedly taken to hospital on Thursday (January 12th) after emergency services were called to her home.
According to Reuters, the Sheriff's department in Ventura Country, west of Los Angeles, said the ambulance service responded to a 911 call to the Melrose Place star's home.
They "determined that she needed to be transported to the hospital for further medical attention", a spokesperson stated.
Representatives of the actress have refused to comment, but rumours on celebrity websites TMZ and RadarOnline suggest that Locklear may have mixed prescription drugs and alcohol.
She was married to rock star Tommy Lee and later Richie Sambora in the 1990s. Her engagement to fellow Melrose Place actor Jack Wagner, whom she began dating in 2007, was called off two months ago.
He is known for his roles in General Hospital and The Bold and the Beautiful, as well as a foray into the music business that saw him to the top of the charts in the 1980s with the ballad All I Need.
