Matthew Broderick is recovering after breaking his collarbone in a horseriding accident in Ireland.
The star of Godzilla and Ferris Bueller's Day Off was in Donegal on holiday with his wife, Sex in the City star Sarah Jessica Parker, when the incident happened.
He needed treatment in a nearby hospital but was allowed home after a few hours.
"He's fine. He's just been in a little bit of pain," Broderick's publicist Simon Halls told the Associated Press.
Broderick and his actress wife are well-known fans of the Irish countryside and have often visited the region on holiday.
But the 44-year-old has also had another bad experience in Ireland having been involved in a car accident in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, in August 1987 which led to the deaths of two women.
Broderick, who also starred as the voice of Simba in Disney's The Lion King, was in Ireland with his then girlfriend Jennifer Grey at the time of the earlier accident and was left with a broken leg and other injuries.
Parker and Broderick have been married since 1997 and have a three-year-old son, James.
