Guy Goma, the man who was interviewed on the BBC after he was mistaken for an internet expert, is set for fame on the big screen as a film company is interested in making a film about him.

Allison Rosenzweig Films are said to be interested in Goma as he has become a celebrity in his own right and provides great material for a future movie.

Goma turned up to the BBC for a job interview, but a mix up at reception saw him placed before cameras and being asked questions live on air on a subject he knew nothing about.

Producers thought that he was Guy Kewney, editor of newswireless.net, but it soon became clear that something was wrong as he mumbled his way through the interview and talked about internet cafes.

After the show Goma became a cult figure and clips of the interview circulated on the internet.

"He's a fun, kind of internationally famous, person that I think is an interesting source for movie material," Rosenzweig said.

Goma told the Associated Press that "If they want to do a movie, I don't mind talking with them."
