The cause of actor David Carradine's death in a Bangkok hotel remains uncertain, a day after his body was found.
The 72-year-old Kill Bill star was found in a closet in the five-star Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel in the Thai capital with Thai police informing several media outlets that he was discovered naked with a yellow cord around his neck.
It has been suggested Carradine's death may have been caused by an attempt at auto-erotic asphyxiation going awry while Bangkok police believe the actor committed suicide.
However, his manager has stressed she does not believe Carradine would have taken his own life.
"I can tell you 100 per cent that he would have never committed suicide," Tiffany Smith, who along with Chuck Binder managed Carradine, told People. "He was too full of life."
She added: "We are not saying it's an accidental death because we don't know. Right now we are just letting everyone know that it's under investigation and we'll see... I just know he didn't do this to himself."
Carradine was best known for his role in 70s televisions series Kung Fu and saw a career resurrection when Quentin Tarantino cast him as the eponymous villain in his two Kill Bill films.
Part of an acting dynasty which included father John Carradine and brothers Bruce, Keith and Robert, he was uncle to Goonies actress Martha Plimpton, who has snce issued a statement expressing her sadness at his death.
"My uncle David was a brilliantly talented, fiercely intelligent and generous man," Plimpton said.
"He was the nexus of our family in so many ways, and drew us together over the years and kept us connected. I adored him as a child, and as an adult I admired and respected him. We will all miss him terribly."
