No doubt one of the highlights on TV this week for most males is Channel 4's The Ultimate Bikini Guide. If shots of some of the previous 60 year's hottest women in bikinis is not enough to satisfy the eye candy quota, then having Jemma and Jodie Kidd presenting should help matters.
The leggy blonde sisters search for the ultimate bikini and chat with celebrities, designers and models who have had famous run-ins with the bikini.
Although some school children may feel like the summer holiday have still only just begun, television programmes are already starting to look towards the back-to-school period coming up in the next few weeks. No doubt drawing in hordes of worried parents, Secret Life of the Classroom shows the daunting first year at school through the eyes of four- and five-year-olds as they tackle challenges such as whether they will have any friends, who they will sit next to and whether they will find the toilet on time.
On Friday night viewers will be spoilt for choice with three new series starting. The Simpsons is back in what will no doubt be another hit series and kicks off with a double bill. Pierce Brosnan guest stars as Homer attempts to find a leprechaun to undo the curse of a gypsy he had angered.
The War at Home begins this week and seeks to secure some easy laughs by having a family with a backwards-looking patriarch who talks about his wife's rack and worries that his son is gay. Also competing for attention on Friday evening is the first episode in the series Whatever - the product of a group of young people running riot in the studio. Channel 4 promises that it will be "outrageous and compelling".
Are you afraid of flying? Well Lawrence Leyton is out to prove in Fear of Flying that he can cure any phobia simply by reprogramming the brain. In this show he is faced with the challenge of 40 phobics gathered in an aeroplane hangar and he has 72 hours to get them on a plane.
Commuters beware: the nightmare truths behind Britain's transport system are unveiled in Dispatches: Britain's Commuter Nightmare. Bob Kiley, a former London Transport commissioner takes at the look at the causes of the problems and presents a case for transforming the current system. If he succeeds he could be just about Britain's most loved man.
In Coronation Street it looks like Maria has finally seen the light about cheating cad Charlie and attempts to turn the tables on him after she realises that he's been lying about his relationship with Tracy. Meanwhile Jason doesn't seem to have realised Sarah may have had enough of public humiliation, and tries to win her back by plastering posters all over the street with a picture of them both declaring they'll be together forever.
Stacey's in for a double shock this week in EastEnders as she discovers that she's pregnant and her long-lost brother turns up in the square. Meanwhile Andy's feeling the heat in Emmerdale as Jamie admits that he tried it on with Katie - who's shown far more loyalty than cheating Andy has. Chas ends up punching Sadie in a fight and demands that she tells Bob about who is really responsible for the house collapse and Dawn's death.
