Although Robbie Williams may have been pretty vocal recently about his desire to not have any children, it seems that fellow singer Gwen Stefani has caught the parenting bug.
Apparently she loves the 'superhuman powers' that being a parent gives you and is eager to have more children following the birth of her first son, Kingston. Stefani told USA Today: "It's such a miracle to have one. And there's so much I still want to do, because who knows? Things could be a lot harder a few years from now. I mean, I'm not at the beginning of my career. I'm on a ticking clock. And I don't want to miss anything."
Meanwhile supermodel Heidi Klum has also raved about the wonders of motherhood, saying that having three babies in less than three years is "easy". If such a comment is not enough to make you feel sick, then the fact that she snapped back into shape quickly should do.
Telling People magazine that having three young children means that her and husband Seal's lives are never "boring or quiet", she added: "We love that they will grow up close in age. This is what Seal and I have always wanted: a home filled with children's laughter."
Most people can barely say a civil word about their ex, let alone praise them. But it seems that there is no love lost between Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz, who split earlier this year. McConaughey has praised his ex for her role in her latest film, Volver, and said that she deserves an Oscar. After watching the Spanish flick, in which Cruz plays a voluptuous mother, he said that she is "going to get an Oscar nomination - or she should".
A little bit of pressure from high profile friends seems to go a long way these days. Madonna, who has been known to wear fur in her time, is said to have banned hunting on the country estate she owns with husband Guy Ritchie after her pal Stella McCartney bent her ear about the pastime. A source is reported to have told the Sun newspaper that Ashcombe, their estate, "has become a hunting factory" and that the pair like "playing rich landlords".
"Stella wasn't pleased when she heard about them releasing pheasants and spoke to Madonna. She's the reason Madonna is stopping shooting next year," the insider told the newspaper.
Madonna is not the only actress that has been rapped recently for her treatment of animals. Actress Christina Ricci was left red-faced when animal rights group Peta publicly criticised her for wearing fur in a photo shoot for W magazine. Since the furore Ricci has issued a public apology, saying: "I never meant to hurt nor anger anyone with my insensitivity. For what it is worth, I have received the message loud and clear and will not be wearing fur in the future. I apologise for my offensive actions."
