The majority of the lineup for the 2010 Reading and Leeds festivals has been announced with Guns n' Roses, Arcade Fire and the newly reformed Blink 182 to headline the dual site event.
Though Guns n' Roses headlined the Leeds leg of the event in 2002, this August will mark the first time the rock legends have also appeared at Reading, with a headlining set at the Berkshire site set for August 27th and the Leeds headlining show on August 29th.
Organisers Festival Republic said the Reading/Leeds slot would be the only UK appearances in 2010 for Axl Rose and co.
The festival can also boast UK exclusives with its other two headliners, with Canadian indie greats Arcade Fire playing Leeds on August 27th and Reading on August 28th, and punk veterans Blink 182 playing Leeds on Saturday August 27th and Leeds the next day.
As well as the eagerly awaited reunion shows by the Libertines, the two-site festival will also feature performances from LCD Soundsystem, Queens of the Stone Age, Klaxons, Biffy Clyro, Lostprophets and Pendulum.
Also confirmed are Gogol Bordello, Billy Talent, Dizzee Rascal, the Cribs, Modest Mouse, Weezer, Limp Bizkit, Phoenix and Foals.
While many more artists are still to be confirmed, organisers said Cypress Hill, the Gaslight Anthem, Enter Shikari, Mumford and Sons and NOFX were down to play.
Tickets went on sale at 18.45pm GMT on Monday and cost £180 plus a booking fee for weekend tickets and £75 plus a booking fee for day tickets.
