The England under-21s were unable to break down a stubborn Poland side as the two teams drew 0-0 in front of a full house at Molineux.

Without regular stars Theo Walcott and Gabriel Abonglahor due to the pair receiving call-ups to the senior squad, the England youngsters were unable to find a way past their Polish counterparts.

Stuart Pearce's side began brighter in the first half and were denied by a double save from the Poland goalkeeper Przemyslaw Tyton, who pushed Craig Gardner's free kick into the path of Luke Moore.

Tyton also saved from Birmingham City striker Cameron Jerome in the opening stages as England pressed for an early goal.

However after a bright opening period, chances became few and far between in the remainder of the first half and the sides went off at half-time locked in stalemate.

In the second half, England substitute goalkeeper Tom Heaton tipped over a stinging drive from Radoslaw Majewski as Poland displayed some attacking potential.

Late on in the game substitute Fraizer Campbell could have stolen a victory for the young England side after Tyton failed to deal with a cross but the on-loan Hull City player failed to force the ball home.
