Space shuttle Endeavour has landed following a 16-day mission to the International Space Station.
The shuttle blasted off from Cape Canaveral, in Florida, on July 15th at the sixth time of asking following five unsuccessful launches were ruined by technical and weather problems.
Seven astronauts travelled in Endeavour to the ISS where they installed the final part of the Kibo research laboratory during their mission.
The shuttle touched back down in the United States on Friday in a smooth landing at Cape Canaveral.
The shuttle embarked on a 6.5 million-mile expedition in what has been described as a successful mission.
One of the astronauts Mark Polansky even managed to send regular updates on the social-messaging site Twitter during the mission.
Nasa's shuttle fleet will be retired next year, with only seven more missions planned.
This year also marked the 40th anniversary of the moon landing.
