Turkish midfielder Emre says he wants to make a favourable impression on new Newcastle United manager Kevin Keegan.
Emre found his opportunities limited under the management of Glenn Roeder and Sam Allardyce but hopes that will change now Keegan is in charge at St James' Park.
The 27-year-old has been linked with moves away from the club due to his lack of first-team opportunities but says he remains committed to the Magpies.
He said: "I would never say anything about leaving Newcastle - I am focused on my future here.
"I love the city and I am very happy in the dressing room. Now I have to show everything for him [Keegan] and everything for this club."
Emre was bought by Graeme Souness but found himself marginalised in the tactical systems used by Roeder and Allardyce.
Keegan has a reputation for attacking football and that may give the Turkish international more of a platform to display his abilities.
With Euro 2008 firmly in his mind Emre says it is important for him to get as much playing time as possible.
"My aim though is to play more times than in the last three months," he said.
"My country has the European Championships in June, and the next four months are important for me."
Emre was sent off during Keegan's first game in charge, a 0-0 draw against Stoke in the FA Cup, but says it has not affected his relationship with the manager.
Keegan is still searching for the first win of his second term as Newcastle manager and will hope Emre can help him break his duck against Aston Villa on Saturday.
