Man of the Match Richard Dunne confirmed that he was glad to leave White Hart Lane with a share of the points following this evening's 0-0 draw between Tottenham and Aston Villa.
Pre-match opinions predicted a close game and so it proved as both teams cancelled each other out over the course of 90 minutes.
It was Villa who were on the back foot for most of the game however and as a result special praise has been lauded on central defence pairing of Richard Dunne and James Collins who were equal of anything Tottenham had to throw at them.
Speaking to the post match camera's Dunne was happy with the performance.
"It was very difficult, Tottenham are a very good side so we knew we had to be tight at the back. Our main objective was to come here and leave with some points in the bag so we are pleased with the result in the end," he said.
Commenting on the fight for fourth place Dunne continued: "It's been exciting so far. We had a little blip over Christmas but to start picking up points again is important as we have a lot of tough games ahead starting with Wednesday."
