A last-minute goal from substitute Damien Duff gave Newcastle United a 2-1 win over Tottenham Hotspur at St James' Park.
Charles N'Zogbia's strike was cancelled out by Luka Modric's first goal for Spurs, before Duff snatched victory in the 90th minute.
The win for Joe Kinnear's side moves them into 12th place while Spurs are just a point away from the relegation zone.
But it was the visitors who made the brighter start with Michael Dawson's looping header tipped over the bar by Shay Given.
Against the run of play, Newcastle grabbed the lead with a route-one style goal that Kinnear's teams are famous for. Given's kick up-field led to N'Zogbia lashing a low shot into the corner on 11 minutes.
Spurs continued to dominate and deserved their equaliser on the half-hour mark when Dawson's through ball was collected by Modric, who stroked the ball past Given.
The Magpies had Given to thank for keeping the scores level when the Irishman beat away Roman Palyuchenko's 20-yard effort.
In contrast, the second half was a scrappy affair with the only chance coming early on when Mark Viduka teed-up Owen, who blazed over from six yards.
Redknapp brought on Frazier Campbell and the striker came close to making an instant impact when he was inches away from converting Aaron Lennon's cross.
But St James' Park erupted in the final minute when Duff traded passes with Viduka before stroking the ball past Heurelho Gomes to clinch victory.
