Catalan Dragons came back from 10-0 down to secure a 22-20 win over Castleford Tigers in Super League this evening.
Castleford took an early lead when Steven Bell failed to deal with a high kick from Rangi Chase and winger Brett Ferris took advantage to score the try. The Tigers quickly moved into a 10-0 lead when Richard Owen broke through the Dragons defence to touch down for a second try for Castleford.
The Dragons replied quickly when a great long pass from Thomas Bosc helped free Dmitri Pelo on the left-wing and he dived in for the try. The referee decided not to refer the decision to the video referee and replays suggested Pelo had made a double movement as stretched for the try-line.
Bosc added the conversion and then was involved in the move which saw Jean-Philippe Baile go over for the try and the Dragons were back on level terms.
Castleford went back in front thanks to two penalties from Joe Westerman, but it was the Dragons who got the important tries.
First Clint Greenshileds jumped highest to collect a high kick from Bosc to go over for the try and then Dane Carlaw bundled in from 10-metres out to give the Dragons a six point lead.
Owen scored his second try for Castleford, but despite some late pressure from the Tigers, Catalan held on for the win.
