French coach Raymond Domenech has bemoaned the lack of video-replays for arbitration in international football following his side's draw against South Korea tonight, a result which could see the World Cup 98 winners getting out of their group for a second successive tournament.
Domenech said that a disallowed headed goal by Patrick Vieira in the first-half, which would have put his French side two up was "definitely the turning point".
The French coach added: "It's a pity that at this level we do not use all the technology we could.
"If you appealed every time you feel a mistake has been made it would be a never-ending story, but video replays would definitely have helped clarify the situation".
Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira was naturally more satisfied after his team secured qualification to the second round as Group F winners following a 2-0 victory against Australia.
Despite admitting that his side "struggled", especially when Australia decided to play three men up front in the second half, he explained "It's a deserved win."
